Scrap to Spark

Scrap to Spark is a creative event designed to encourage students to think innovatively and promote sustainability by reusing discarded electronic components. Participants will be provided with a variety of electronic waste materials such as circuit boards, wires, motors, and other scrap components. Using their imagination, they must design and build artistic models, decorative items, or functional mini-products. This event aims to foster creativity, awareness of e-waste management, and hands-on innovation among students.

Rules and Regulations:

1.Team Size:2 per team

2.Materials Provided:

• Basic e-waste materials will be given by the organizers.

• no pre-made structures are allowed.

• Glue guns, soldering kits (under supervision), scissors, cutters, and tapes other items will be provided

• No power tools or heavy machinery allowed or provided

3.Time Limit:Each member will be given 2 – 3 hours to complete their creation.

4.Judging Criteria:

• Creativity & Originality (30%)

• Best use of e-waste (30%)

• Aesthetic/Visual Appeal (20%)

• Functionality/Concept Relevance (20%)

5.General Conduct:

• Participants must handle tools and materials safely.

• Misuse of resources or unsafe practices may lead to disqualification.
